The Kings Cake or Roscon de Reyes
Did you get to wear the crown?
The tradition on January 6th after the Kings arrival is to have a celebration family lunch. The dessert is always the Roscon de Reyes which is a round sweet bun like texture cake often split and filled with cream. Contained in the cake are the nativity figures hidden for all the family to get one each. The prize is to get Baby Jesus in your slice. If you do you get him the prize is the crown which you wear for the afternoon and are treated royally…
