CA’N QUET TAKES ITS PLACE AGAIN IN DEIA

Ca’n Quet occupies a place in Deia that is hard to beat. From their huge terraces the view across the Deia Valley is second to none. Surrounded by the mountains and looking over the fertile ground towards the sea it has become ‘the place’ for wedding receptions and parties. This was not always the case and until five years ago this was also a vibrant restaurant run by a highly revered Chef with a huge following. Many people will tell you their Ca’n Quet stories where deals were done over dinner or marriage proposals were made. It occupied a place on this side of the Island for fine dining in a very special atmosphere. It has been sadly missed while it developed its ‘venue’ operation but now all that has changed.
May 1st 2014 was a very special date in Ca’n Quet’s life as it re- opened to the public as a restaurant once again. Tracey Ivell and I were privileged to join them for their opening night and had a wonderful evening accompanied by great music. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable and the service was second to none. We were looked after with much charm and finesse with understated professionalism – such a treat. Chef Moro is a star, the food was exquisite and the tasting menu produced one delight after another. This is a place to linger over fine food, wine and the ambience of being really looked after by people who love food and the whole experience of dining.
The Chef’s of the Tramuntana are becoming a force to be reckoned with and there are a fine young group of people who are making their mark on the palettes of Mallorca. Chef Moro is one of their number and the Tasting Menus of Ca’n Quet bears testimony to that. They have a Chef to watch in this place and it is very exciting to watch the development of a rising star.
I recommend this special place to you and encourage you to go soon and experience the ‘Taste of Ca’n Quet’. More information, menus and prices can be found on
On Saturday nights a ‘Jazz Ensemble’ accompanies dinner and the romance of the food, the music and the location under a starry Deia night is a wonderful combination.
Welcome back Ca’n Quet …
