THE ‘JANUARY CALMS’ IN SOLLER

We are at the beginning of a wonderful time of year in Soller. The ‘January Calms’ are a local weather phenomena. Always in January when you expect to be in the grip of winter the weather just calms right down. The sea is flat, early fog lingers because there is no wind to blow it away and then the sun breaks through. At lunch time it can be 20 degrees and early tourists pinch themselves at their good fortune.

This is where we are today and the forecast is for more of the same. We all know that February is round the corner and the weather will bring a bit of cold energy but for now

BE CALM
AND
CARRY ON
LOVING SOLLER
