Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa is delighted to announce the appointment of a new General Manager – Jordi Tarrida.
Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and
a member of Dubai Holding, has announced Jordi E. Tarrida as the new General Manager at
Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa with effect from 1st September 2014.
A German national born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Jordi
has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
Before joining Jumeirah, he worked at Trump Turnberry
Resort in Scotland where he was General Manager for
three years. Prior to this he was Area Manager for
Arabella Golf & Spa Resort and General Manager for the
St. Regis Mardavall Resort both in Mallorca.
Jordi has held a number of senior international Sales and
Marketing positions in Europe including Director of
Marketing at the Palace Hotel Madrid, Area Director of
Marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Spain and
Portugal, Director of Sales at the Sheraton Hotel Frankfurt
and Sheraton Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Jordi is delighted to have joined Jumeirah Hotels and
Resorts and to be coming back to Mallorca, a place he
calls home. In his new position Jordi will lead the team
and continue to build on the success and reputation of the
award-winning hotel in Mallorca.
Fernando Gibaja, General Manager at Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa since 2010, who had
a vital role in the hotel’s preopening phase and in the first years of operations, will be moving
from Spain to Dubai to embark on a new role as General Manager of Jumeirah Zabeel Saray
starting in October 20
