The photograph can’t show the smells (the flowers and fruit especially) and the sounds, the goat’s and sheep’s bells, the donkeys braying, the chiming of the bells and the cicadas constant buzzing. It all makes the whole place feel special, we arrive and feel as if we’re home.

Shirley and I are so grateful to everyone who has sent photos so far (almost 100 people).   I have loved working with every single photo and the quotes have made me cry!

This is the first version of the gallery – if you haven’t sent a photo in yet there is still time (info@sollerweb.com or https://www.sollerweb.com/photos.html)!

I have tried to do a gallery that is viewable for all photos….those taken slightly longer ago on an older phone or those taken by people with professional cameras.  The best way to view is on a large desktop screen rather than a phone (although it will work on both) – for phones I adapted some of the text quotes so that it didn’t cover the entire photo!  I hope that is OK with everyone but if any contributors have any changes or additions please let me know.

If you see the word CLICK it means to click on the photo to see a local business that is mentioned.

This project has meant so much to us – we all feel the love for the Soller area and Shirley and I have felt your love for us too.

We have had lots of people asking about the Charity Book too… it will definitely happen in time for Christmas…. We haven’t decided how we will choose the photos that will appear as yet…but we will keep you informed all the way.

Stay safe everyone – Enjoy dreaming of the sunshine, the amazing views, the wonderful people….the Soller Valley !

Much love, Shirley and Tracey x
